Microneedling

Microneedling is a method of introducing a controlled wound response into the skin triggering a release of natural growth factors, new collagen and elastin. This process causes less damage to the epidermis than dermal rolling and other ablative treatments. Miconeedling stimulates the new skin cell growth providing quicker healing leading to long lasting skin rejuvenation.

Automated Microneedling is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of fine lines, acne scarring and overall improvement of skin appearance. During this procedure microscopic needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. A topical hyaluronic acid serum is applied to clean skin. This soothing product is chosen to help the safety of the microneedle cartridge glide smoothly across the skin’s surface while delivering the mechanical injury necessary to bring about the necessary change and simultaneously delivering Hyaluronic Acid (HA) – the building blocks for healthy new skin – deep into the skin. The skin’s repair process results in a thicker dermis with the appearance of softer wrinkles.

Microneedling device causes controlled micro-injuries that stimulate the body’s natural wound healing process, while minimizing cell damage. More specifically, microneedling starts the three-phase wound-repair process:

  • Phase 1: Inflammation. Piercing the skin triggers your immune system to disinfect the wounds, remove debris, increase blood flow, and create new tissue.
  • Phase 2: Proliferation. The wound is re-built with new granulation cells. Plus a new network of blood vessels develops.
  • Phase 3: Remodeling. New dermal tissues and blood vessels replace the wound.

The results of treatment are both immediate and progressive. Many individuals will begin to see the effectiveness of the treatment after their first visit, however a series of 3-6 treatments may be recommended depending on severity of their skin condition.

Basic Facial
